I have taken pictures of deer at Cades Cove on three separate occasions, and without a doubt this is the best one I have ever taken. It was on the back side of the loop near one of the houses. When I pulled up, she was just standing there, looking to my right. I saw the large tree limb and prayed she would stay put until I could get into position. When I finally did, I got it framed just right, and then silently suggested she look the other way, to my left, several times. Finally she did and I had my photo.
