Wild birds of prey

This is Woodward, the American Bald Eagle that lives at Callaway. I like to call this photo "The Eagle is Landing" after the famous quote from the Apollo 11 landing on the moon, when Neal Armstrong uttered the famous words. I know there's no comparison, but he is an impressive eagle. Due to a birth defect, a deformed beak, Woodward will spend his days in captivity, as he cannot fend for himself in the wild. But he has a good home at Callaway, and puts on a great show.
